Indie Dev Vault
Offline tools for shipping
Steam Launch Kit 1.0 is out

Tools for the part of shipping that isn't making the game.

Indie Dev Vault makes small desktop applications for the work that sits between a finished build and a live store page — the writing, the assets, the checklist nobody warned you about. They run offline, they keep everything in one project file you own, and they never phone home.

✓ No account, no activation ✓ Zero network requests ✓ Your files stay yours ✓ One-time price, free 1.x updates
The vault, so far

One tool shipped. More reading the same project file.

Every Indie Dev Vault application reads and writes the same .idv file, so work done in one is not stranded there. This is the first one.

Steam Launch Kit

$15.90+ pay what you want · Windows 10/11 · suggested $29

A desktop app for indie developers who have to write their own Steam store page. It asks five questions about your game, builds the prompts that get you a usable draft, keeps every version you produce, and exports the whole thing as Markdown you paste into Steamworks.

  • About This Game — the long description, section by section.
  • Short Description — the 300-character blurb, with the counter Steam enforces.
  • Steam Tags — all 425 real tags, searchable, with the 20-tag limit enforced as you pick.
  • Prompt Generator — every prompt the app builds, ready to copy.
  • Publishing Checklist — the 45 items below, with the sizes and lead times attached.
  • Not an AI wrapper — it builds the prompt, you choose the model. Nothing about your unreleased game leaves your machine.

! The installer is not code-signed yet. Windows SmartScreen will warn you on first run. SHA-256 checksums for both downloads are published on the product page so you can verify the file yourself — a certificate is the first thing this product pays for.

Your progress0 / 45

Store Assets 8

Eight images Steam asks for, each at a size it will not resize for you.

Store Text 8

Everything Steam shows as words — including the rules that get pages sent back.

Localization 7

Decided early, or paid for twice.

Trailer 7

The first thing that autoplays on your page, and the asset people judge fastest.

Screenshots 7

Five minimum — and four of them have to be safe for every audience.

Release 8

The steps with lead times attached. Finding these late is what moves a release date.

Ticks in a browser tab last until you clear your history. In the app the same 45 items live inside your project file, each with the exact size, the review lead time and the reason it is there — next to the store text they belong to. See Steam Launch Kit →
